Thanks for joining us for this interview, Dickey. We're looking forward to sharing more about your book and other efforts with our readers.

What inspired you to pen this insightful, eye-opening volume?

I have an insatiable appetite for knowing how everything really works—not how it is portrayed to work. Then I have an equal determination to inform the world of what I have discovered in hopes that it will aid the forces that are working hard to make the world a better place.

Did you perform considerable research in bringing the various elements of the book together?

As a friend of mine who is familiar with the process said, “Dickey, I believe this is the most researched book in history.”

I read thousands of pages – from books and websites mostly – and then reread them again and again as I tried to make connections among all of the various ideas and scientific and historical facts. This book took about 3 years to write and publish but much of the groundwork was laid in the years since 2000 when I started researching the group that I discovered that I called the IMPACTS.

Is it true that modern humanity traces its founding roots back to Africa?

Undoubtedly. Homo sapiens emerged about 200,000 years ago in Africa, and homo sapiens sapiens emerged about 130,000 years ago or so. The Great Rift Valley in eastern Africa appears to be the birthplace and development center for the various human species from the past 5-7 million years, including our own species. The San tribe of Africa are believed by most leading scholars to be the oldest modern human group, and genetic studies bear this out. The San continue to reside in Africa, mostly southwestern Africa, but of course their numbers are greatly reduced.

One thing that anthropologists seem to have missed is that it was a San group that was the out-of-Africa group 60,000 to 80,000 years ago. The research in my book makes a convincing case. That it has not been acknowledged before now shows the power of the prevailing paradigm to distort the picture for the benefit of those who control the paradigm.

How is it possible for human history and behavior to be studied the same way as physical atoms and molecules?

We have to keep in mind that the universe is energy as Einstein explained with his formula E = mc² where energy equals mass times the speed of light squared. So everything is energy and the universe appears to have a singular way of organizing this energy whether it is an atom or a galaxy or human civilization.

Basically, there appear to be 2 major forms of energy, and these 2 forms seem to be built around the 2^nd Law of Thermodynamics. The 2^nd Law says that energy will disperse unless hindered from doing so; in other words, the present set-up of the universe does not “like” or “favor” concentrated energy. But obviously there are copious amounts of concentrated energy or else we or anything else wouldn’t be here. So the universe appears to have this struggle between dispersal forces and dispersal-hindering forces, life being an example of dispersal-hindering.

When you look at humanity, you see the same exact 2 forces at work. Of course, we are an amalgam of these two forces but still the forces have clear outlines as male and female. The male force is the dispersal force in the universe and the female force is the dispersal-hindering force in the universe. The proton is male and the electron is female. Everything follows the exact same model, including businesses, organizations, and countries.

Does spirituality play a major role in your writings?

I don’t really know what spirituality means nor of course does anyone else. To me it seems that when we can’t explain something, we put it in the spiritual category.

The Greek Ionians 2,500 years ago wondered if God were in matter. I think SHE is. I think the nurturing, healing, creative, connective energy we call God is female energy in the universe, and I see the electron as the manifestation of that energy.

Before agriculture and even long after it, the supreme power in the universe was believed to be female. Agriculture brought about male control and a male view of the universe, including God.

What kinds of reactions have readers had to the book thus far?

The gamut—just as you would expect of something that is potentially paradigm-shifting. Some see it as nonsense—others see it as extremely thought-provoking. I think it mostly depends on how eager the person is to explore the unknown.

What's the main message that you'd like readers to take away from the book?

That there are 2 main forces in the universe and they are in opposition to one another. One is trying to disperse everything and the other is trying to keep it together. Within humanity, the same 2 forces are at work, and just as is the case in the physical universe, the dispersal forces have control. That is why we have the mayhem and violence that we see around the world. The group I call the IMPACTS provides the fuel for the human race, and the core that I call the SN (for structural-nucleus) takes this energy and uses it for its own aims. Of course the SNs of many countries around the world are rather benign but a cursory look reveals many which are quite aggressive. They could not be aggressive were they not fueled by copious amounts of IMPACTS energy. I believe human civilization needs more of a balance between these 2 forces if this species is to survive.

In addition to being an author, you're also an entrepreneur. Please share more with our readers about your endeavors in that field.

Most of my adult life I have been self-employed, usually in the home-improvement industry. I started a simple business called the Big Shelf – Garage Storage Solutions thirteen years ago upon the demise of another business. I saw a need for additional storage space for homeowners, and found the solution in the garage.

In the subsequent search to identify my customer as precisely as possible, I discovered the group that I call the IMPACTS. As I continued to dig into what I was seeing, I discovered a dynamic operating, not only in human society, but across the universe. The search for my customer that started in 2000 has led to the IMPACTS concept, proof that if you just keep your mind and eyes open, anything can happen.

Please share more with us about your publishing company, IMPACTS Publishing.

I published a marketing book about 5 years ago on what I had discovered up until that point which was essentially that the IMPACTS make the economy work. This is my second published book. In 2010, I should release at least 2 more books—one about the IMPACTS concept in business and the other about selected periods in history as viewed through the lens of the IMPACTS discovery. Everything looks different when you understand the IMPACTS concept. There are many ways to look at the world but currently we are seeing it through the eyes of those who control the existing paradigm, and as I said, those are dispersal forces—not “bringing together” forces.

What's next for you?

I plan to start producing videos where I explain the IMPACTS concept and how it can be applied to everyday life. These videos will be available on YouTube and my website. Plus I’ll be working on those 2 books. And I’ll be exploring other ways to proliferate the ideas as quickly and thoroughly as possible, nationally and internationally.

Any final thoughts you'd like to share?

For the past few thousand years, since the dawn of agriculture and civilization as we know it, there has been a stark divide between the so-called “ruling class” and those who provide the fuel for the ruling class. This book explains the dynamics at work in that relationship and shows that the dynamics are the same throughout the universe. The best word I think that describes the situation is “captured”—the energy that can “make things happen” (female) is captured by the energy that wants to become “bigger and stronger” (male).

In the greater universe, a balance of sorts has been established. But that is because the universe is old—very old—about 14 billion years. Modern humans have only been here 130,000 years or so, a drop in the bucket of time. Therefore, we are still way out of balance as far as the 2 major forces are concerned. We have to develop a new path—a path that puts more power in the hands and minds of the IMPACTS. Only the IMPACTS can save the human race and put it on sounder footing. They will have to learn how to be more aggressive in expressing their opinions and asserting themselves. It will not be easy but there is no choice. The future of mankind depends on it—in my opinion.

Political correctness often prevents us from seeing what is really going on in the world as PC aids the status quo, curtailing needed discussion and preventing change. It takes the “edge” off of people, the edge that is needed to solve problems and chart new paths. Political correctness makes the job of the SN easier which is to control. Any nucleus tries to break up concentrated energy, control the fuel in the environment that allows it to maintain control, and homogenize its domain. The human SN (structural-nucleus) wants our energy to go toward helping it first and foremost. It is true of a company or a country.

IMPACTS have to break this seemingly permanent cycle and assert themselves and their values. How to do so? That will require lots of discussion, but you can see that attempts at it are already underway in various ways. Consciousness-raising groups are one example but to me the solutions are of a political nature and that is a difficult ball game. Part of the solution may be to somehow “change the game”. Much work is needed.

Even the frenetic increase of “connectivity” modes such as Facebook and Linked-In is an example of people trying to connect with others in an increasingly dispersal-oriented world. But dispersal is the way of the universe. The most powerful force is the one that can defeat it. IMPACTS have to lead the way in defeating it at the human level.
