Bought the Car

Our attitude about our view of reality is very similar to our attitude about the car we bought–we have invested in it and we don’t really want to hear about other brands that might be better. The brand we have may not be perfect but it is working good enough–for now.

That is why it is so hard to get other people to look at another view of reality. What are the potential benefits? Is change involved? A new view sounds like work and most people don’t like extra work. They already have enough work just trying to deal with the current paradigm.

So this “work” is going to appeal to those who are interested in change–who want to see another way–who want to explore.
