Steve Jobs and Bill Gates

I recently purchased an iPhone which is made by Apple. I have never used an Apple product so it was a true introduction. After a few minutes of playing around with it and being totally impressed by its amazing versatility and design, it hit me why it is so different from a Microsoft product. Nothing against Microsoft but the differences are unmistakable. The iPhone reveals hands-on aspects not seen in Microsoft products, or many other products for that matter.

Both Steven Jobs and Bill Gates are IMPACTS but there are differences in their backgrounds that are important to understanding them and their companies and products.

Gates is from closer-in to the mainstream of society–he appears comfortable with the SN or structural-nucleus. Jobs was adopted soon after birth. His biological father was Syrian and biological mother was Caucasian. His adoptive parents had high school educations. After dropping out of college, Jobs traveled around India briefly, returning as a Buddhist.

The background of each reveals something about the degree of pure IMPACTS energy, which is a hands-on, bottom up energy. Jobs obviously has more of those traits. That’s why his products are so different from those of Microsoft–so clearly more hands-on with attention to detail. There is more dexterity.
